Under 14 exemption from Regione Lombardia
The first initiative, related to thermal water, comes from Regione Lombardia, that has decided to extend the exemptions for the thermal cures to all the boys younger than 14. The initiative is valid throughout all the region, for every resident.
The under 14 exemption for the thermal cures will allow every boy resident in Lombardia, to have access to the whole range of thermal cures available at Bormio Terme, for the sole cost of the medical prescription. A great chance for all the young people that need sessions of physiotherapy or they have problems that can have benefits from the thermal care.
It's also on its way the introduction of hydro-kinesitherapy in the list of services available with the exemption, this is a modern technique for the motor recovery in water (a safer environment for the patient).
Physiosport Space
In order to enable young people to benefit from physiotherapeutic thermal cures, Bormio Terme has planned a dedicated area: the PhysioSport Space. This space consists in an hour and a half of physiotherapy followed by professionals at the disposal of the patients for the physical recovery.
Thermal care services
There are many facilities in the Lombardia region that offers thermal care services covered by the NHS system and for the past few years, Bormio Terme has joined the initiative making its thermal water available for the cures of patients.
