Bormio Terme it's the ideal place for a wholesome après-bike!
For bike lovers, Bormio is the base point for long cycling, on the famous alpine passes and along routes of different levels, but also for adrenaline descents riding your bike. At the end of the day, Bormio Terme is the unmissable place for an "apres-bike", to ease tired bodies with a path between thermal pools (one of which is a sports pool), saunas and bath of thermal vapours; a massage or a physiotherapy session might be the right complement to ease muscles and get the legs ready for another ride the next day.
Fun is also granted by the setting-up od downhill tracks on the Vallecetta mountain, served by the cableway of Bormio-Bormio 2000 and the funicular “Whitelady3000″, that unfold over 600 metres of vertical drop, from Conca Valbella to Bormio 2000.
Jumps, natural and artificial barriers, steep slopes and drop on two main itineraries and different variations for all the levels of difficulty.
For the most trained, instead, Bormio represents the starting point to attack the great alpine ascents such as the Stelvio Pass with its 36 hairpin turns leading to an altitude of 2758 metres, or the Gavia Pass and the Mortirolo, frequent and stunning "Grand Prix" of the Mountain during the Giro d'Italia, which join each other in in a ring of around 100km.
After having covered all these kilometres, it will be even nicer taking a break at Bormio Terme, the thermal park in the heart of Bormio.
