Covid-19 antigen swab in Bormio Terme

Our structure from Monday 10th January 2022 will offer the service of antigenic swab.

The service will be carried out every day of the week with the exception of Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., booking must be made within the previous day (call 0342.901325 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.).

 

Antigenic swab: how to book?

Follow these simple instructions

1. book by phone on 0342.901325 - internal 5 - from 2 pm to 6 pm
2. only after having received confirmation of your booking pay for the swab (€ 12 regardless of your age) using the link that will be sent to you by email
3. fill in the form sent to you by email in block letters, clearly and legibly, and bring it with you on the day of the swab test
4. when you go to your appointment, remember to bring your health card and an identity document.
5. show up on time on the day of the swab using the special entrance at the congress hall of Bormio Terme.
   
   

Antigenic swab: what is it?

This type of test is based on the search for viral proteins (antigens) in the patient's respiratory samples. The sample collection methods are similar to those of molecular tests (nasopharyngeal swab), the response times are very short (about 15 minutes), but the sensitivity and specificity of this test are lower than those of the molecular swab; for this reason, positive diagnoses obtained with the rapid swab must be confirmed by a second molecular swab.

Since rapid antigenic tests on nasopharyngeal swabs allow diagnosis of whether SARS-CoV-2 infection is occurring, they may be useful in certain contexts such as contact tracing of positive cases or rapid screening of large numbers of people.
