Useful information and rules

What should I bring to have access to the Wellness area?

Compulsory:
Swimsuit - yours or bought in our shop
Swimming cap - yours or bought at the desk or in our shop
For children under 24 months: disposable swim diaper + plasticized restraining swimsuit also available in our shop
Slippers - yours or bought in our shop

Suggested:

Gown – yours or rentable for € 3,70
Bath towel – to be used in the saunas – yours or rentable for € 2,50
be aware that the shop, next to the entrance of the Wellness area, doesn't have the same opening times.

 

How can I pay the food purchase in the Bar inside the Wellness area?

You don't need to carry cash or credit card with you, since the food purchased at the Bar inside the Wellness area can be charged on the transponder bracelet, and paid off at the exit.

 

Can I take food and beverage from outside?

NO, inside the Wellness area is forbidden to bring food and beverage from outside and neither having a pic-nic in the external park. 

Inside the Wellness area there is a panoramic Bar where you can have drinks, snacks, sandwiches and even meals.

 

Inside the Wellness area and the Thermarium are swimming shorts allowed?

YES, they are. In general, it's just forbidden to wear long and wide clothes for health and safety reasons. Bikini is just fine.

 

Are there any swimsuit-free spaces inside the Wellness area and the Thermarium?

YES, inside the Wellness area there is the section with sauna and Turkish bath, reserved for 16 and older, where it's possible to stay naked. Customers need to be aware of this and if bothered by nudity are suggested to avoid these specific areas. In the whole Thermarium sector, as well restricted to over 16, there's the same rule.

 

Can I reach the Beauty centre/Cure department from the Wellness area?

YES, it's possible to exit the Wellness area to go to the Beauty centre and the Cure department. Once finished the booked treatments it's possible to re-enter the Wellness area referring to the time of staying previously purchased.

Can I enter the Thermarium only without the Wellness area?

NO, the Thermarium it's operationally linked to the Wellness area, it isn't therefore possible to restrict access to the Thermarium only. 

 

To enter the Thermarium is requested an extra payment?

NO! Please note that the access to Thermarium is forbidden to under 16 and it has a maximum capacity of 90 people, therefore once this limit has been reached it will be necessary to wait for your turn.

 

What are the services of the Wellness area and the Thermarium?

Thermal swimming pool 25 x 16 m, 2 children's pools, thermal lodge with water jets and whirlpools (forbidden to minor 16), Turkish bath and sauna (forbidden to minor 16), internal/external "Four Seasons" pool with whirlpools and walk in the stream (the outdoor part is opened also in winter time), external swimming pool (not available during the winter season), outdoor children's pool with water spraying puppets (not available during the winter season), 60 m waterslide, snack-bar and in the summertime a park with sunbeds and loungers. 
In addition to these services in the Thermarium area (forbidden to minor 16) you can find: bio sauna, panoramic sauna, Turkish bath, internal/external thermal pool, emotional showers, relaxing areas and a little park with sunbeds and loungers.


Question about children's areas


Are children allowed in the Wellness area?

YES, children are allowed to enter from the earlier months of life with the only precaution of waiting for the first vaccinations.
Children under 6 years of age enter for free but they need to be accompanied by a paying adult.
Children under 2 years of age need to wear a disposable swim diaper and a plasticized restraining swimsuit.

 

Have children access to the whole Wellness area?

NO, minors under 16 years don't have access to the sauna, Turkish bath, thermal Lodge and Thermarium.

 

Can I bring the stroller inside the Wellness area?

NO, strollers must be left at the entrance of the changing rooms. It's allowed to bring inside, where it's possible, the carrycot only. 
During the summertime, strollers can be brought to the park of the Wellness area, following the arrangements indicated at the cashiers' desk.

 

Boys of 15 years of age can have access to the Thermarium?

NO, the Thermarium is reserved to people of at least 16 years of age. Please note that in this area the use of the swimsuit isn't compulsory.

 

Is there a baby sitter service inside the Wellness area?

NO, we don't provide this service.


Questions about discounts and memberships

Is there any reduction for access to the Wellness area?

YES, boys from 6 to 16 years of age have a 30% discount, over 65 have a 20% discount.
Residents in the municipalities of Bormio, Valdidentro, Valdisotto, Valfurva likewise residents of the province of Sondrio have a dedicated tariff plan.
Some categories of people with disabilities, that is to say, the ones identified with the following codes (IC14, IC13, IG11, IL15, 1S12, IA16, ID23), have a 20% discount.
All these reductions are applicable for the purchase of single tickets, memberships and extra time but only after the submission of a valid ID.
We suggest getting in touch with the facility to find out about new initiatives or promotions related to specific periods of the year.

 

Is there any membership for access to the Wellness area?

YES, there are different kinds of entrances with concessionary fares (click here for the page listing prices and memberships). 

For regular customers, there's a time subscription, annual or biannual that varies depending on the length of stay and the period of access.

Less frequent customers can think to get a prepaid card (single or small group) whose value can be utilized to purchase single entrance tickets (not membership, residents' tariff, swimmers' subscriptions, accompanying entrance for swimming courses) for the Wellness area. Prepaid cards also have a one-year validity. 
Those interested in swimming might think to choose the swimmers' subscription that consists of a minimum of 10 entrances of an hour + 15 minutes tolerance. Swimmers' subscription has a 4-months validity.

 

Are there reductions for groups?

YES, the group must be of at least 15 people, children under 6 years of age don't count since they already enter for free if accompanied by a paying adult.

Questions about pools

Is the water of the pools thermal?

YES, all the pools are constantly filled with naturally warm thermal water.
The temperature of the water isn't fixed and it can slightly change during the year for reasons not due to Bormio Terme.


Is there chlorine in your water?

NO, our waters are chlorine-free. In this way we can avoid its unpleasant odor and eliminate health and allergies hazards.


At what time is set the exit from the pools and the other services of the Wellness area and the Thermarium?

30 minutes before the closing time of the facility; the last half an hour it's therefore devoted to shower and change of clothes.

 

Are the outdoor pools open in the case of rain?

YES, in the summertime the outdoor pools are always open, even in case of rain.

 

Are the outdoor pools open all the year?

Bormio Terme tries to keep the outdoor pools open as long as possible. During the advanced autumn and winter seasons the external swimming pool and children's pools aren't anymore available, it's instead still utilizable the external part of the "Four Seasons" pool from where you can enjoy an amazing view of the surroundings while laying in one of the 12 whirlpool loungers of the pool.


Questions about changing rooms and toiletsici

Are the changing rooms of the Wellness area divided between men and women?

NO, changing rooms are mixed but provided with single booths.

 

How do I get to the changing rooms? Are there lockers where to put the clothes? How do they work?

Once it has been chosen the type of entrance cashiers will give a transponder-bracelet to the customer that grants access to the entry turnstile, and once changed, enables the opening and closing of your personal locker where you need to put clothes, shoes and personal belongings. 
Basically, the transponder-bracelet is the key for your locker so it needs to be secured with great attention. 
Next to the entrance desk, there are some safety deposit box where you can place valuable items (€ 0,20 + 6 digits personal password)
